What We Do

Education

  • Prime objectives: IBTEDA’s experience of working for children for over four years has taught us an important lesson: that lasting change is possible only when we look at the big picture. Hence the prime objective of IBTEDA is to prompt the public to assume the responsibility of changing the lives of underprivileged children

  • Future plans: IBTEDA is committed to continue its mission of reaching out to the most marginalised children of India and enable their access to education, health and protection. We will also step up our advocacy campaigns with the Central and State governments and policy makers to make larger education and health budgetary provision for children.

  • IBTEDA aims to create a world worth living in for a child. Its goal is to end violence and exploitation against children by ensuring child protection through innovations, research, awareness generation, promoting partnerships and participation.

  • IBTEDA aims to reform the modern public education system by involving parents as well as students in building an education narrative that involves the entire slum area, block, and district. The NGO forms teacher collectives and meets every month to plan teaching content. They also engage with parents and villagers through Parent teacher meet to understand the learning and development opportunities through education.

  • We have also launched the Open School of Education in 2018, which helps girls who have dropped out of school, to complete secondary education.

  • At the end of the academic year 2018-19, IBTEDA’s programmes were operational in 3 states countrywide. Our own teaching-learning programmes have reached 2000 children and our partnership programmes with other organisastions have reached 5000.

IBTEDA of Better health for everyone and everywhere

  • IBTEDA focus on building a better, healthier future for people all over the country. Working with 500 Member, across 4 states, and from 12 offices, IBTEDA’s staff are united in a shared commitment to achieve better health for everyone, everywhere.

  • Together we strive to combat diseases – communicable diseases like tuberculosis and Corona, and noncommunicable diseases like cancer and heart disease and Chronic Kidney Diseases.

  • IBTEDA help mothers and children survive and thrive so they can look forward to a healthy old age. We ensure the safety of the air people breathe, the food they eat, the water they drink – and the medicines and vaccines they need.

Deliver Humanitarian Aid

  • Deliver Humanitarian Aid: One of the purposes of the IBTEDA, as stated in its Charter, is "to achieve co-operation in solving in problems of an economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian character." IBTEDA’s first did this in the aftermath of the Rohingya migration in 2017 on the devastated country, which it helped to settel. The Organization is now relied upon by the social community to coordinate humanitarian relief operations due to natural and man-made disasters in areas beyond the relief capacity of authorities alone.

  • IBTEDA collected and distributed all the necessary food, sanitary, hygiene and medical assistance to help the flood victims during Patna Flood in Bihar in 2019. More then 2000 people received financial aid on Humnitarian ground.

Promote Sustainable Development

  • From the start in 2015, one of the main priorities of IBTEDA- The beginning was to achieve co- operation in solving problems of an economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian character and in promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as to race, sex, language, or religion. Improving people’s well-being continues to be one of the main focuses of the IBTEDA.

  • The understanding of development has changed over the years, and everyone now have agreed that sustainable development – development that promotes prosperity and economic opportunity, greater social well-being, and protection of the environment – offers the best path forward for improving the lives of people everywhere.
